The War

On the 2nd of November 1932, Major G.P.W. Meredith and 2 soldiers traveled to Campion in Western Australia to prepare an ambush, they were armed with 2 Lewis light machine guns. Unfortunately the emus spread out preventing the effectiveness of the attack. Embarrassingly only a couple emus were killed.

Meredith spotted a mob of emus containing over 1000 emus. After thousands of rounds were used on the relentless mob of emus, only a mere 12 emus were killed. after six days of fighting against hordes of emus, a total of 50 emus were killed. This failure caused so much embarrassment that the government forced the military to withdraw from the war.

After days of the farmers complaining, Meredith was forced to command his army once again. After weeks of relentless fighting, Meredith and his army was forced to withdraw permanently on the 2nd of December with a total of 986 kills. After 10,000 rounds were used on unarmed emus, they remained victorious.
